Groups of cocoa producers disagree about the rise in farm gate pricing.
The government declared on Wednesday that GH₵3,000 will be used to purchase a bag of cocoa.
However, Nana Oboadee Boateng Bonsu, President of the Concerned Cocoa Farmers Association, claims that the pricing announcement has caused a great deal of misunderstanding among the farmers.
GH₵2,070 was the previous price rise, therefore this is a 45 percent increase.
Bryan Acheampong, the Minister of Agriculture, added that COCOBOD will put in a lot of effort to meet its goal and has sufficient money to buy from farmers.
