It was a crisp Monday morning when Adam Bonaa stepped into his office. As he took his seat, he opened up the newspaper and began reading the headlines. His eyes stopped on a particular one, and he gasped in shock. The headline read, "COP Alex Mensah has been inconsistent; he needs psychological evaluation – Adam Bonaa."
Adam couldn't believe what he was reading. Alex Mensah was his friend, and they had been working together for years. But as Adam pondered over the news, he couldn't deny that his colleague had been acting strange lately. He would miss meetings, show up late for appointments, and sometimes act aloof.
It was clear to Adam that something was wrong, and he had to act fast. So, he called up Alex and told him to come to his office for a chat.
When Alex arrived, Adam wasted no time in addressing the issue. "Alex, I'm worried about you. You haven't been yourself lately, and it's affecting your work. I think you need to see a psychologist and get an evaluation."
Alex was taken aback by Adam's request. He had never thought of seeking professional help before. But as he reflected on his recent behavior, he knew that Adam was right.
So, Alex booked an appointment with a psychologist and went through a series of evaluations. After a few sessions, he was diagnosed with anxiety and depression, and he began therapy to help him cope.
Months later, Alex was back to his old self. He was punctual, focused, and determined. Adam was happy to see his friend's progress, and he knew that he had done the right thing by urging Alex to seek help.
The incident taught Adam a valuable lesson about mental health and the importance of seeking professional help when needed. And from that day on, he made a pledge to always look out for his colleagues' well-being, even if it meant urging them to seek help.
