In his vision for Ghana's future, President John Dramani Mahama has called for a complete overhaul to address the country's urgent issues and clear the path for advancement.
President Mahama acknowledged the severe economic hardships that Ghanaians have faced in recent years as he reflected on the current situation. Notwithstanding these difficulties, he promised to guide the nation toward a better future and gave the populace hope and resolve by stating that the obstacles were not insurmountable. President Mahama emphasized the value of governance that provides the people with real benefits during his inauguration as the sixth president of the fourth republic. "The results of democracy must be visible in citizens' everyday lives if it is to be hailed as the best form of government," he said.
He continued by saying that a candid evaluation of the country's pulse indicates a general feeling of alienation from the benefits of democracy that have been promised.
